MAPPATHON™
Mappathon™ remixes the hackathon for projection mapping. Like a hackathon, it brings together people from different backgrounds to create something in a short time, here, a finished work of light.
CHIKA co-founded Mappathon™ in 2013 with Scott Fitzgerald, Boris Edelstein and Ilan Katin. Over a weekend, participants move through four stages, Discover, Define, Design and Develop, to complete a project together. Since then, she has developed LED, Interactive and Kids editions and brought them to more than 1000 participants of all ages and skill levels across the United States, Europe, South America and Japan.
Mappathon™
Participants learn current projection mapping tools and techniques, then work together to create a site-specific installation, static or interactive.
